In my reviews I try neither to persuade nor to dissuade others. I believe the art of reading is a very personal experience and that my opinion should not intrude upon others enjoyment. I merely state how I felt while reading and I will allow others to decide for themselves. This is why I will not present a play-by-play description. I will only offer a few basic details to help you decide if what I present is worth your time.
Ivy and Bean - Annie Barrows, Sophie Blackall This is such a cute little story. Ivy and Bean discover each others friendship while embarking upon a small backyard adventure. You see, Bean wants revenge on her bossy older sister and Ivy just happens to be a practicing young witch armed with a spellbook (that's at least 100 years old) and a wand imbued with the magic of glitter and glue (Bean's suggestion). Well...I shouldn't give anymore details away. Let's just say that dog poop, mud and worms factor into the day's magic.
