In my reviews I try neither to persuade nor to dissuade others. I believe the art of reading is a very personal experience and that my opinion should not intrude upon others enjoyment. I merely state how I felt while reading and I will allow others to decide for themselves. This is why I will not present a play-by-play description. I will only offer a few basic details to help you decide if what I present is worth your time.
The Magician's Elephant - Kate DiCamillo The Magician's Elephant

This story presents a series of simple yet complicated events all designed around a bit of simple magic; the magic of hope and belief. A group of people get together to magically try and send an elephant back to where he belongs and in the process, each manage to find a tiny bit of magic for themselves. This is a nice tale to warm the heart.

Don’t worry about the seemingly haphazardness of the story’s beginning; it works itself out near the end. Just enjoy this simple children’s story for what it is…a little bit of magic.
